Sodavex: driving the acquisition of the Resolu plant in Amos

News

Sodavex played a key role in the acquisition of the former Resolu plant by Minéraux Stratégiques Abitibi (MSA), a new subsidiary of Kinterra Capital.

Christine Duchaine and Charles Côté-De Lagrave, in collaboration with the law firm Bennett Jones, provided crucial support to Kinterra Capital on the municipal and environmental aspects of this transformative transaction.

This initiative marks a significant advancement towards a sustainable regional economy and the deployment of Quebec’s battery sector. The industrial site will become a vital pillar for the development and provision of services currently absent in the region.

Additionally, Mayor of Amos, Sébastien D’Astous, welcomes the potential arrival of new taxpayers and related services in the mining sector, which could also attract subcontracting businesses.

“I’m certain that acquiring the plant will have a positive impact because it’s a site close to the city yet somewhat secluded, so workers will be able to settle nearby in Amos,” he hopes.
