Solène Pons-Gibou


Driven by a cross-cutting and insightful approach to legal issues, Solène also makes personalized support the keystone of her practice.

Solène was introduced to Quebec and Canadian law during an exchange program with the University of Montreal in 2009 as part of a Master’s degree in comparative business law obtained at the Université Lumière Lyon 2 (France). During this time, she discovered the richness of the province’s resources and the activities surrounding them, which led her to return in 2018 to carry out her long-standing project of working in Quebec in environmental law.

To this end, she completed a Master’s degree in Business Law from the University of Montreal in 2021, with a focus on resources, energy and environmental law, but also the equivalence of the Bachelor of Laws degree as well as the professional training from the Quebec Bar School,

She joined the Sodavex team as a Quebec Bar articling student in October 2021, in order to pursue her project and learn the legal profession in this field.

Solène joins the Bar Association on April 13, 2022 and is honored to continue her career with our firm.

Mining law and issues of expropriation and disguised expropriation are among her favorite subjects, which she hopes to put to good use.
