Marie-Pier Goyette Noël

Ms. Marie-Pier Goyette Noël graduated from the faculty of law of University of Sherbrooke in 2009, to then move on to write a master’s thesis in environment (M. Env.) in 2013. Before joining Sodavex, she completed her articling in the litigation department of a major Canadian company. She was admitted to the Quebec bar in 2014. 

She possesses a vast experience in legal research and has keen interest in environmental law. While pursuing her studies, she actively participated in the writing of two articles on water management. In 2013, she worked within the Groupe de recherche sur les Stratégies et les Acteurs de la Gouvernance Environnementale (SAGE) on a study as part of the strategic environmental assessment on shale gas.

Her master’s thesis focuses on the legal framework applicable to the management of dams in Quebec. In addition to being awarded the title of best master’s thesis for the faculty of law of University of Sherbrooke, her master’s thesis has also been published in 2014 by the Éditions Universitaires Européennes. 

As a research lawyer, Ms. Marie-Pier Goyette Noël is involved in each of the firm’s cases. She is responsible for the legislative watch, for the firm and its clients. She also participates in the preparation and writing of conferences, articles and books published by Sodavex.
